Friday I took Chris to the hospital to get her echocardiogram. The last test before she starts her clinical trial. We got there early and got right in. Done in just under 25 mins!!! A first for us!
Yesterday, Saturday, we went to the Orioles game in Baltimore. Alex's boyfriend, John, came to visit for a couple days so he came with us. We all had a good time. I put up lights on the new cabinetry I put in the basement and also hung a new ceiling fan in the family room. Big fun!
Today Alex and Chris went shopping while I stained the deck. We're enjoying the time off and the time together!

Originally this blog was used to keep people informed about the daily happenings in the life of my beautiful wife Christine while she courageously battled stage IV breast cancer since Sept. 2004. After 3 years of fierce battle Chris lost her life to this dreaded disease at 6:30 AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Immediately after Chris's passing COMSTAR FCU and their counsel set up a trust fund for donations. This trust fund will be used solely for the purpose of helping to pay for the future education of her 3 children.

Climb for Hope
Dr. Emens is Chris's Oncologist and she and some very good friends are in the process of raising funds to help fund the research program that she is working on at John's Hopkins Hospital. Specifically, there is a clinical trial that is currently being done that she is heading up. This trial is the same trial that Chris is trying to get into. The trial is leading edge and so is the climb for hope teams! Click here to check out their blog.

Bagpipe Song
Many have asked about the song that the bagpipe player was playing at the cemetery for Chris's funeral. After some digging we've determined that the name of the song is Suo Gan and is a traditional Welsh lullaby. Here is a link to the song.
